Travis Lee Jones was born on February 16, 1952 and deceased on January 20, 2026 at 73 years old.

Travis was born in Greenville, North Carolina to Mattie Savage. He moved to New Jersey in his teenage years. He met Olivia there and they moved to Chattanooga in 1988 to support the growth of New City Fellowship.

Travis impacted so many lives most recently as a provisional elder to Woodlands Gathering, working with Widows Harvest, and as a mentor in Big Brothers Big Sisters and Every Valley Leadership Academy. He led church planting workshops and enjoyed learning Cherokee and Spanish.

He was also having fun acting in various Christian films. He also loved traveling to support mission trips visiting places such as Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Mexico.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Olivia Jones, twin brother Harold Lee Jones, daughter Semenye Jones, son Sempangi (Ilsa) Jones and his grandchildren Clive, Maren and Bette Jones. Travis was a devoted husband, loving father and made friends no matter where in the world he went.

We will be having a Family Visitation starting at 1 pm ET followed by a Celebration of Life Ceremony starting at 2 pm ET. Both will be held at New City Fellowship, 2424 East Third Street, Chattanooga, TN on February 21, 2026. Committal service will be on Monday February 23 at 10 am at Hamilton Memorial Gardens located at 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
