Mr. Jamel Deashun Sutton was born to Ms. Jamelia Deshay Thomas and Mr. Rufus Eugene Sutton, Jr. on June 1st, 1997 in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he resided. Jamel was a graduate of Brainerd High School. Jamel was a hard worker who enjoyed being around family and friends. He also enjoyed football, laughing and being a dad to his daughter. Jamel departed from us on May 14th, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Martha Thornton-Boykins, uncle Victor Boykins and grandfather Andre Thomas. Great-grandfathers Marvin Boykins and Lemon Thomas. Grandmother Ora Mae Sutton, grandfather Rufus Sutton, Sr., brother Marcus Sutton, aunts Shirley and Terry Sutton, uncles Anthony and Kenyon Sutton. His life will be forever cherished in the lives of his daughter Reign Robinson Sutton, his mother Jamelia Thomas, father Rufus Sutton Jr., sisters Jamekia Sutton, Jabrelle Thomas, Ashton Sutton all of Chattanooga, Tennessee and many devoted nieces, nephews and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
