Gladys B. (Davis) Woods (85)
With loving hearts and fond memories, we celebrate the life of Gladys, who peacefully departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in a medical facility. Gladys was a proud graduate of Howard High School Class of 1959.
Gladys was born April 12th, 1941, to the late Robert Bayless and Roberta Lampkins Davis. She was the last living of six siblings. She was preceded in death by her brothers Harold, James Sydney, Norman Davis, and Robert Moore (Pee Janky); sister Blanche Marie Davis-Tumlin; nephew Larry J.T. Tumlin; favorite cousin Ann Ghiden; and great-granddaughter Taylor Morgan Johnson.
Gladys accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years under the pastorship of the late Reverend William H. Ryan, Jr. Her faith was an instrumental part of her life, and she faithfully served the Lord. Gladys retired after 38 years of service from Lexus of Chattanooga working for the late Bob McKamey.
Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Gladys leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sons Conrad Woods (Atlanta, GA), Torras Woods (Virginia Beach, VA), Ralphael Woods and daughter Leslie D. Tatum. Grandchildren Channing Andrews, Martez Woods (Atlanta, GA), Rico Henderson (Denver, CO), Michael Benning, and Jordynn Woods (Virginia Beach, VA). Great-grandchildren Caleb Johnson and Mason Patton. Special nephews, Rodrick (Stephanie), Van (Karen), Ken (Lisa), Kelly (Sharon) Tumlin, Landell, Anthony (Mila) Fairfield, CA, Gerald (Sacramento, CA), and Lamont Davis (Las Vegas, NV). Special nieces Angela (Mark) Davis-Ross, Sacramento, CA, and Norma Davis, Atlanta, GA. Best friends Mattie Edwards & Johnnie Mae Johnson-Smith. Goddaughter Vanessa (Jay) Holloway and special friends and caregivers Lisa Tumlin, Terry Calhoun, Shannon Westmoreland, Blondel Garner, and Gwen Reel.
